Tale of Triads
This 3BHK interior renovation project in Mysore is a harmonious blend of modern simplicity and regal influences. Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of the Mysore Palace, the design subtly incorporates traditional elements while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic.
At the core of the design philosophy is the Rule of Thirds, a visual composition technique that divides spaces into nine equal parts. By strategically placing key design elements at these intersections, the interiors achieve a balanced and visually appealing layout. This principle guides the spatial organization, ensuring a seamless flow and a well-proportioned arrangement of furniture, décor, and architectural details. A defining feature of the home is the use of arches, a direct reference to Mysore Palace’s architectural charm. Complementing this is a palette of teal hues, a colour reminiscent of the rich interiors of the palace. Various shades of teal are thoughtfully incorporated throughout the house, from accent walls to upholstery and décor elements, creating a cohesive and refreshing ambiance.
The interiors exude a modern yet luxurious aesthetic, achieved through a refined material selection. Wood-textured laminates add warmth, while printed tiles introduce character and intricate detailing. Fluted glass enhances light diffusion and creates a subtle interplay between transparency and privacy. Brass accents lend a timeless elegance, while marble flooring grounds the design with its opulent and polished appeal.
