The brief called for a space that could accommodate different preferences and personalities while allowing the family to come together naturally. Rather than assigning the home a single aesthetic, the interiors were developed as a collection of considered moments, allowing each space to have its own character while remaining connected to the larger whole.

Warm timber establishes the underlying language of the home, layered with cork, carved wood, fluted glass, terracotta, muted olive, deep red and touches of brass. Curves soften the more structured cabinetry and furniture, while carefully selected details introduce a sense of familiarity without becoming overtly nostalgic.

The foyer sets the tone with an olive-toned storage unit and a vintage-inspired tiltable partition in fluted glass. Rather than creating a hard division, the partition establishes a gradual transition into the living room, bringing privacy and definition while retaining visual continuity. The living and dining spaces remain connected, creating an open family zone that makes the most of the apartment’s compact footprint. In the kitchen, terracotta-toned checkered tiles, muted green cabinetry, curved forms, fluted-glass shutters and open shelving reinterpret familiar domestic elements through a cleaner contemporary lens. Elsewhere, built-in storage and concealed compartments are integrated into the architecture, allowing functionality to remain quietly in the background. The bedrooms take on more individual expressions. In the master bedroom, the bay window becomes a small reading retreat, paired with a blue checkered headboard and cork-finished wardrobe shutters. The parents’ room is intentionally calmer, while the children’s bedroom uses a built-in bunk bed to create a playful focal point, with a seating nook tucked beneath.
